The purpose of this study is to recognize the various imaging techniques that have been introduced in order to identify and detect the middle ear disease, Cholesteatoma. In the existing studies many different techniques such as computed tomography, high resolution computed tomography, multi-detector computed tomography, multi-slice computed tomography, diffusion weighted echo-planar magnetic resonance imaging, and diffusion weighted non-echo planar magnetic resonance imaging have been proposed. This paper consists of the case studies that have been undertaken by the researchers along with the advantages and limitations of the techniques being used.
