Conclusion: our study showed that type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Saudi Arabia have an average amount of knowledge about required lifestyle changes. Attitude to lifestyle changes was extremely good in almost all cases, however exercise among most study individuals turned out to be not so good. This indicates a lack of will-power for the correct implementation of their knowledge and attitude. As for HbA1c, levels in the vast majority of cases showed poor control on the disease.
