POPULAR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT IN SÃO PAULO: THE EXPERIENCE OF BARRA DO JACARÉ

This work seeks to value participatory design in the building of a housing product; and emphasizes collective learning as a means and the dissemination of knowledge as a triggering element towards individual and social transformation. It is based on the experience of a housing project of social interest resulting from popular initiative with federal resource (My House My Life Program), which took place in the West Side of the city of São Paulo, Brazil, called Barra do Jacaré.
