In vitro cytotoxicity study due to electron beam cured pressure sensitive adhesive tape for medical application

A device made for biomedical applications must be biocompatible and biologically safe while in use and it has immense importance before commercialization. Substances may leach off of a device into adjacent tissue and can harm the body after or during application. Hence, in vitro cytotoxicity evaluation was done for PU-PSA tape by e-beam curing as compared with positive and negative controls. Based on study results, given PU-PSA tape meets the requirement and found to be non-cytotoxic.
