Various pyrimidine derivatives were synthesised using Biginelli process in excellent yields by conventional and ultra sound method. The product were characterised by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The derivatives were screened for their antibacterial activity using four different bacteria. A moderate biological activity is observed in some cases.
