Contexte: Le Syndrome M?tabolique est un ?tat particulier de morbidit?, caract?ris? par l?association de plusieurs facteurs concourant ? l?augmentation du risque cardiovasculaire chez une personne. Au Cameroun, la probl?matique du Syndrome M?tabolique n?est explor?e que partiellement, tant dans l??tude de ses caract?ristiques que dans son d?pistage chez des patients ? risque. D?autres ?tudes ont par ailleurs montr? que le Syndrome M?tabolique et ses entit?s sont des facteurs aggravant du Stress Oxydant, et de ce fait potentialisent la survenue des Maladies Cardiovasculaires. Cependant, peu d??tudes relatives ? la pr?sence du Oxydant chez les individus ayant partiellement ou totalement le Syndrome M?tabolique existent au Cameroun. Mat?riel et M?thodes: Dans le cadre de cette ?tude transversale, nos recherches ont port? sur l??valuation du stress oxydant au cours du Syndrome m?tabolique et de ses composantes individuelles ?valu? selon la d?finition de NCEP 2001 dans une population pr?sum?e saine de 600 femmes ayant des param?tres alt?r?s du Syndrome M?tabolique et de ses composantes au moins en surpoids vivant ? Yaound? recrut?s de Mars 2014 ? Mars 2017. R?sultats: A l?issue de notre ?tude, il se d?gage parmi les cinq composantes individuelles du Syndrome M?tabolique, le stress oxydant est observ? au cours de deux composantes individuelles qui sont l?hypertension art?rielle et de l?ob?sit? andro?de au sein de la population et le syndrome lui-m?me. Ce stress oxydant se manifeste par une ?l?vation du taux de Fer et de Zinc, coupl?e ? une diminution de la capacit? antioxydante globale du plasma et du rapport Cuivre/Zinc. Conclusion: Notre ?tude a r?v?l? que le r?le d?l?t?re du stress oxydant est manifest? dans certaines composantes du Syndrome M?tabolique qui sont l?hypertension art?rielle, l?ob?sit? andro?de et le Syndrome M?tabolique lui m?me au sein de notre population d ?tude.
