FACTEURS DE RISQUES SOCIODEMOGRAPHIQUES DU SYNDROME METABOLIQUE DANS UNE POPULATION DE YAOUNDE-CAMEROUN.

Contexte: Le Syndrome M?tabolique est une constellation d?anomalies m?taboliques qui concourent ? l?augmentation du risque cardiovasculaire chez une personne. Au Cameroun, plusieurs ?tudes relatives au Syndrome M?tabolique existent d?j?, cependant, aucune d?elles ne s?est appesantie sur le syndrome ?tabolique et ses facteurs de risques sociod?mographiques. Notre ?tude se propose d??valuer la pr?valence du Syndrome M?tabolique en fonction des facteurs sociod?mographiques au sein de notre population d??tude puis d?identifier lesquels sont facteurs de risque du syndrome m?tabolique. Mat?riel et M?thodes: Dans le cadre de cette ?tude transversale, nos recherches ont port? sur l??valuation de la pr?valence du Syndrome m?tabolique selon la d?finition de National Cholesterol Education Programm 2001 en fonction des variables sociod?mographiques puis l?identification ses facteurs de risque par r?gression logistique dans une population pr?sum?e saine ayant vivant ? Yaound? recrut?s de Mars 2014 ? D?cembre 2017. R?sultats: A l?issue de notre ?tude, il se d?gage parmi les variables sociod?mographiques ?tudi?es du Syndrome M?tabolique, celles ? risque au sein de notre population sont le sexe f?minin, les tranches d??ge sup?rieures ? 45 ans, la dur?e de r?sidence ? Yaound? sup?rieure ? cinq ans. Les autres variables ? l?instar du statut matrimonial, la zone ?cologique, l?emploi et le niveau d?instruction ne sont pas associ?es au Syndrome M?tabolique. Conclusion: Dans la mise en place des programmes de pr?vention sp?cifiques au Syndrome M?tabolique au sein de nos populations, un accent particulier devra ?tre mis chez les femmes, chez les individus ayant une dur?e de r?sidence en ville de plus de cinq ans et chez les individus ?g?s de plus de 45 ans.
