ABSTRACT: In the present study, an attempt was made to prepare in-situ gel of Voriconazole in order to overcome bioavailability problems, to reduce dose dependent side effects and frequency of administration. Ocular In-situ gel containing drug was prepared by Cold method technique by using combinations of polymers (HPMC E5, HPMC E15, POLOXAMER 407 and sodium chloride and quantity sufficient water). Estimation of Voriconazole was carried out spectrophotometrically at 255nm. The In-situ gel were evaluated for parameters such as drug content uniformity, pH, clarity, gelling capacity, viscosity, in-vitro release, short-term stability, drug excipient compatibility studies (FTIR), And the stability studies. In all formulations containing different polymers in different concentrations, as the concentration of polymer was increased it was observed that the sustainity of drug release was increased. Among all formulations containing E15 at concentration of 5mg have shown better sustained release in controlling manner up to 10 hrs instead of burst release as that of remaining formulations.
