Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disorder affecting the connective tissue of several organ systems. The current estimated prevalence of SLE varies from 6 to 150 per 100,000.
The neurological and psychiatric manifestations in systemic lupus erythematosus are called \\\"neurolupus\\\" and is are a common but much feared complication. The frequency of neurological or psychiatric symptoms is estimated from 14% to more than 90% in patients with SLE.
The aim of our work is to illustrate the diagnostic discussion in the presence of psychiatric manifestations in a patient diagnosed with lupus through a clinical case.
