This study aims to understand the evolution of climate variables and land use across the Agbado River watershed. The methodological approach is based on the collection and analysis of climatological and hydrometric data from 1986 to 2016 as well as land occupation supplemented by field investigations. It shows that the Agbado River Basin has experienced rainfall variability since 1986, characterized by alternating surplus and deficit years. Also, the study environment is generally characterized by low and medium floods over the study period. As a result, we note that the area of fields and fallow has experienced a strong growth from 76060 ha in 2006 to 424791 Ha, an increase of about 348731 ha in 10 years. The same applies to agglomerations, which increased their area from 7353 ha in 2006 to 9678 ha in 2016, an increase of 2325 ha.
