Burnout Syndrome is a psychological condition characterized by chronic work-related stress. This studys main objective was to analyze the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in nursing professionals at Hospital Sanatorio do Kuito-Bie. To this end, a quantitative methodology was adopted, of a descriptive and comparative nature, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sampling used was non-probabilistic and for convenience, encompassing 16 nursing professionals, of which 10 were women (62.5%) and 6 men (37.5%), aged between 26 and 51 years. Data collection was carried out using a self-designed socio-demographic and occupational/professional questionnaire, as well as the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), consisting of 22 items. Data analysis was done using tables and graphs, followed by discussion according to the selected categories. The results indicated a slight statistical difference in two of the three dimensions of Burnout Syndrome, according to gender. It is concluded that, although moderate and high levels were observed in some dimensions separately, hospital nursing professionals present, in general, a low risk of developing Burnout Syndrome, according to the criteria for identifying the condition. This investigation contributes to understanding the prevalence and characteristics of Burnout Syndrome among healthcare professionals, highlighting the importance of monitoring and implementing preventive strategies in the workplace to promote nurses well-being.
