The aim of this study was to determine the Carbon stocks of woody tree species within Daloas city, with a view to improvieng the management of urbain forest areas. A species inventory and allometric measurements were carried out on 12 managed sites. The results showed that woody vegetation is composed of 58spmecies in 26 families, the most represented being the Moraceae. The amount of Cardon in the biomass varied between 161.31 and 286.91 tC/ha, depending on the type of urban development. Industrial and commercial establishments store the most significant amount of Cardon (268.91 tC/ha). The current Carbon storage potential of the urban forest developments studied islow, given the relatively small size of the study sites. Therefore, preserving the woody potential of green spaces and planting trees could help increase their Carbon stock thereby mitigating the effects of climate change.
