This study aims to map the trend of scientific publications related to the role of TikTok in building students academic motivation with a bibliometric approach. Data was obtained from the Scopus database using a combination of keywords that lead to TikTok AND study AND motivation to make the search focus more targeted. A total of 561 documents from 2019 to 2024 were analyzed with the help of VOSviewer software. The results show that the topics of TikTok and study motivation are closely connected to the themes of digital learning, student engagement, academic performance, and the use of social media in higher education. There were five main clusters in the keyword co-occurrence analysis, each representing a thematic approach to the role of social media in learning. The analysis also showed that most publications came from countries such as the United States, China, and the United Kingdom, as well as reputable higher education institutions. Thus, this study confirms that TikTok has become part of the global academic attention as a potential tool in enhancing students learning motivation.
