Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Western countries.Given therapeutic advancements, patients life expectancy and survival rates have significantly increased over the past thirty years. However, this real hope for recovery does not prevent patients from facing anxiety about death and psychological vulnerability. The first aspect that undergoes change in patients lives is their relationship with their own bodies.Social relationships also change for the majority of patients.Indeed, the study highlights shifts in social and family roles,as well as disruptions in relational dynamics, oscillating between isolation, reinvestment in more authentic relationships,or greater openness to social circles. From a psychosocial perspective, socio-familial support emerges as a key predictor of both psychological adaptation and certain medical outcomes.
