This study was conducted in the main livestock markets of the urban community of Niamey. It allowed for the identification of nonzoothechnical parameters influencing the sale of sheep by retail traders. In this context, thirteen (13) nonzoothechnical parameters were analyzed through multiple linear regression, in order to determine their levels of significance. The analysis resulted in six (6) significant variables. The results obtained revealed the importance of nonzoothechnical variables in the process of selling sheep by retail traders in the urban community of Niamey. Thus, the level of primary education had a significant influence of 5% on the sales of sheep by retail traders. Variables such as affiliation to an organization, the reason for purchase, marital status, market location, and the nature of sales also showed a significant influence of 10% on sales. The terms of the significant variables are respectively belonging to an organization, slaughter, marriage, the right bank market, and temporary sale.
