EFFETS DE LA POUDRE DE PHYLLANTHUS NIRURI VAR AMARUS SUR LA PONTE,LA QUALITE DES UFS, ET LES PARAMETRES HEMATOLOGIQUES DE LA CAILLE (COTURNIX JAPONICA)EN COTE DIVOIRE

The aim was to evaluate the effects of Phyllanthus niruri var amarus powder on egg laying, egg quality and haematological parameters in laying quails. The study was conducted at Nangui ABROGOUA University. A total of 144 quails (Coturnix japonica) were used for the study. Feed rations containing 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of P. niruri var amarus powder respectively were used for the 4 batches. The egg-laying rates recorded were significantly higher, at 92.86 4.95% (p < 0.01) in the 5% batch and 80.16 9.75% in the 10% batch, compared with the control batch (50.79 5.72%). The proportions of egg yolks in the 5% batch were more pigmented than in the control batch. The haematological parameters of the quails fed P. niruri var amarus were not significantly different from those of the controls. In conclusion, 5% P. niruri var amarus powder can be added to quail feed to improve egg-laying performance and boost immunity.
