This article reflects on the ethics of education inspectors. Its content is based on the practices of inspectors in the Senegalese context. An important link in the management of the education system, and often poorly regarded by teachers, the inspectorate lacks a tool for promoting ethical conduct within its profession.This ethical reflection we propose for him does not confine him to codes of conduct. It is a foundation that opens the ethical path for his professional practices and, at the same time,a response to the void explicitly desired by teachers and inspectors themselves. The complexity of the inspectors professional practice thus led us to discuss the principles and values that underpin the ethics of this body. The results show that intellectual and professional values are the most valued by teachers, followed by moral values, and finally human values. These values not only contribute significantly to the quality of education, but they can also guarantee respect for the dignity of teachers.
