The objective of this research is to explore talent management practices that influence the organizational performance of SMEs in Benin. To this end, a qualitative approach was adopted. Forty-two semi-structured interviews were conducted with SME managers, human resource managers, and experienced employees, using an interview guide. The data collected were analyzed using thematic content analysis with NVivo 12 software. The results showed that talent management is a lever for organizational performance in SMEs in Benin, insofar as it directly affects intermediate variables such as employee engagement, motivationretention, and skills development. Similarly, talent management aligned with corporate strategy promotes adaptation to environmental changes, innovation, and the achievement of strategic objectives. Therefore, skills development, motivation, and talent retention appear to be key success factors for sustainably improving business performance.
