The practice of Yogasanas has gained popularity at the global level for decades. Recently, the Ministry of AYUSH and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports have officially announced the recognition of Yogasana as a competitive sport. Yogasana is an important limb of Yoga, whose nature is both mental and physical, and it is popular worldwide for its effectiveness in fitness and general health. It brings positive changes in physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development.Yoga therapists, researchers, and psychologists, observing the benefits of Yoga, have conducted many studies on it and as a result believe that along with treatment, proper diet and a Yoga-based lifestyle are extremely necessary, in which Yogasanas mainly play an important role (Sharma, 2018). Yogasanas are known not only for keeping the body active and energetic but also for increasing the efficiency of the endocrine glands. In addition, they reduce unnecessary body fat, which is a major problem among people today. Therefore, a practitioner should continuously practice asanas, as it provides overall health to the practitioner.
