This study concerns the algal flora of the Albarkaize pond. It has as objectives the inventory of the algal diversity and the characterization of the physico-chemical of the water. The latter is a place where several native and non-native species proliferate, among which some invasive species that threaten the survival of this ecosystem. Two sampling campaigns were conducted under contrasting hydrological conditions: the period of high water (September 2018) and low water (April 2019) on five (5) sites. The floristic analysis has identified 76 microphytes including, 13 families distributed in 25 genera and 76 species with a dominance of Desmidiaceae. The most represented taxa are Chlorophyta, Euglenophyta and Cyanophyta. The dominance of chlorophyceae in this study, shows that in freshwater it is the chlorophyceae that are best represented.
