Food gives rise to joy, happiness, energy, and a feeling of security in humans. Diet and nutrition have been associated with humans since their origin. Along with Yoga and Ayurveda, diet also has great importance in the field of nutrition science and medicine. A Greek physician Hippocrates, who is also called the father of medical science, gave an opinion related to diet around 400 BC. According to him, the food that is consumed by humans enters the body and acts like medicine. And this diet directly affects physical and mental health. Also, diet contains elements that help in keeping health balanced.
