Background: Obesity remains a leading global health challenge, with prevalence exceeding one billion individuals worldwide. While glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) have revolutionized pharmacological obesity management, weight regain following treatment discontinuation highlights the need for sustainable behavioral strategies. Mindful eating, a practice rooted in present moment awareness of eating experiences, has emerged as a promising complementary approach. Objective: This narrative review synthesizes current evidence on the efficacy, mechanisms, and clinical applicability of mindful eating interventions for weight management in adults, and proposes a conceptual framework for integrating mindful eating into primary care alongside modern obesity pharmacotherapy.
