Background: Effective perioperative analgesia in children remains a critical goal in pediatric anesthesia. Ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is widely used as part of multimodal analgesia, as it reduces opioid requirements and improves postoperative comfort. This study evaluates the efficacy of adding dexmedetomidine to bupivacaine in TAP block for pediatric lower abdominal surgeries.
