1,4-Dihydropyridines (DHPs) are synthesized by the Hantszch method, which involves cyclocondensation of aldehyde, ?-ketoester and ammonia either in acetic acid at room temperature or refluxing in alcohol. Here we developed a one pot synthesize of a new class of 1,4 -dihydropyridine derivatives from cyclocondensation of pyrazole aldehyde, acetylacetone and ammonium acetate in acetic acid at room temperature.
