Abstract
Despite the increasing knowledge in the influenza virus host interactions, most of the published work focuses on influenza A viruses, leaving a gap with respect to influenza B virus host interactions , Here we examined acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), also known as aspirin, on A549 and MDCKII cells infected by INF B Yamagata virus ,and the anti-NF-kB and anti-influenza virus action of ASA were studied ,our results show that a few millimolar concentration range from ASA which do not affect the viability of cultured cells, can impaired INF B virus propapagation and playing a role in delaying apoptosis via impaired TNF? induced NF-?B signaling.
