Abstract

Synthesis and structural characterization of polyiodide mixed complex of Fe (II) having formula [Fe(bpy)3](I3)2,Reaction of Fe(SO4)2?7H2O , 2,2'-bipyridine,iodine,have been described .Reaction of ( Fe(SO4)2?7H2O , 2,2'-bipyridine,iodine ) produce complex in 95 % yield The complex was characterized by analytical spectroscopic and molecular structure of the complex was determined by X-ray crystallography .
