Abstract

Objective:The aim of this study is to evaluate the results of knee arthroplasty in cases of osteoarthritis with sever varus deformity. Subjects and Methods:This study is prospective study was conducted involving 20 patients who underwent primary posterior stabilized total knee arthroplasty due to osteoarthritis with sever varus deformity. Results:Using Knee Society Scoring(KSC) system reveals that, the average post-operative score was 94.3 (range from 80 to97 ) compared with average pre-operative score 17.5(range from 0 to 22). Conclusion:Total knee arthroplasty in osteoarthritic patients with severvarus deformity gives the best solution in managing pain, deformity, improve walking and improve range of motion.
