Abstract
Today the world is searching for remedies from the nature. Hence, in the agricultural sector, soil is the answer. As soil is the home for microorganisms, we isolate important biofertilizers like Azotobacter from soil. This Azotobacter supplies Nitrogen and Phosphorus to important crops like wheat. Hence, it can rightly be called ‘Food for the crops’. As these free-living bacterial cells divide in the soil, they fix atmospheric nitrogen for the crops. Even the phosphate minerals in the soil may be unavailable for the plants. This bacteria solubilises the phosphate so that the crop roots can easily take up the macronutrient ,for the healthy growth of plants.
Hence, this paper aims at the screening out of Azotobacter from rhizosphere soil. The study also includes large scale production of Azotobacter.
