Abstract

Madelung disease is a distortion of the wrist due to atrophy of the medial part of the distal radius cartilage. This results in an antero-medial subluxation of the carpus, limiting joint amplitudes. This bone dysplasia is rare and represents 1.7% of congenital anomalies. The authors report a bilateral case in a 19-year-old boy and intend to discuss it on the basis of data from the literature.
