Taxonomy, physicochemical evaluation and chemical investigation of Ganoderma applanatum and G. brownii

Ganoderma species are used extensively in traditional medicine however quality standards have not been studied for all species. This investigation includes pharmacognostic study i.e. macroscopy, microscopy, evaluation of physicochemical parameters and phytochemical screening of basidiocarps of Ganoderma applanatum and G. brownii in order to establish the standards. These standardization profiles will help in authentication, determination of purity and chemical composition of these mushrooms.
