Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss reflection of Sambaa healthy discourses through the performance of traditional songs. As a result, the researcher demonstrates the power of singers in clarifying the Sambaa world views on illness, diagnostic and treatment. In short, the paper starts with general background of the Sambaa language and culture, mdumange songs performance and finally the paper discusses the role of mdumange songs in portraying the Sambaa healthy discourse.
