Common Fixed Point Theorem with Lighter Condition of Contraction by Generalized Altering Distance Function

Abstract

In the present paper, we obtain a unique fixed point theorem for four self maps using generalized altering distance function in four variables by considering a lighter form of weak contraction than the form used in Theorem 3.2. In the main result, the free parameters r1, r2, r3 play a key role, as the various choices of these parameters cover several popular results on fixed point theory. These parameters may be useful from the applicational point of view. The flexibility of the choice will definitely result in some good implementation value of the problem.
