Abstract
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the reliability of the replica impression technique using an all ceramic crown. The light body (President, Coltene Whaledent Pvt. Ltd. Switzerland) was used to cement an all ceramic crown on the epoxy die and evaluate the marginal and internal fit of the ceramic crown. The marginal and internal fit of the all ceramic crown was measured at varying points. The mean internal silicone film thickness was found to be 120 +/- 27microns. The range of the marginal sealing discrepancy was found to be greatest at the lingual margin of 57 microns. The replica impression technique is a very useful method to evaluate internal fit of an all ceramic crown.
