Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder is a very rare tumor and is reported to account for 1.4% to 10.6% of all the malignant tumors of the gallbladder [1].The literature on this histological type has been highly limited but suggests that it has a high potential for direct extension and early invasion into the liver and neighboring organs, which explains the often-late diagnosis and its very bad prognosis. We are reporting a new case of squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder and discussing the clinical, histological and therapeutic features of this entity.
