Abstract

Dapsone is widely used for a variety of infectious, immune and hypersensitivity disorders. However, the use of dapsone may be associated with a plethora of adverse effects, whose DRESS syndrome potentially deadly. We report the clinical case of a 22 years old woman who was treated by Disulone ? 100mg/day for lichen pigmentosus. 3 weeks later, she presented a DRESS syndrome with Dapsone, successfully managed by oral steroids. The aim of this work was to highlight the main features of DRESS syndrome with Dapsone, through a systematic review of cases published in the medical literature, to enable rapid diagnosis and appropriate management of this syndrome
