Pediatric nurses have challenging role in providing nursing care for the children of age range from infant till toddler.Continuous nursing education affords nurses the opportunity to learn advance techniques in pediatric patient care.Center of excellence (COE) campaign on Pediatric Nursing with the theme Because children are Precious has focused on the knowledge and practice of providing care to pediatric patient. This training programme has benefited the nurses to develop knowledge and skill in pediatric nursing care practices.A customized tool kit was designed in consultation with the pediatricians to serve as a guide for the COE activities of the month.A quasi - experimental one group pretest and posttestresearch design was opted to assess the effectiveness of the program. A significant difference in the Pre-test and post-test knowledge score of thestaff nurses showed that the certification program on Pediatric Nursing was effective.
