Abstract

IPA learning media based on android is a tool to provide learning information about natural phenomena in the form of events and causes of environmental consequences contained in the android operating system. Android-based science learning media designed in the form of an application. This research development research with 4D model with stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination.Covid-19 pandemic period is difficult to do effective learning.This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of android-based and conventional learning media in measuring students critical thinking ability on environmental pollution materials.This research is a development research conducted in MTs Negeri 8 Banyuwangi. Based on the results of the research that has been implemented, the use of android-based science learning media in experimental classes and decimination classes is quite effective for students critical thinking skills.Whereas in control classes that use conventional means are not effective for students critical thinking skills.
