The aim of this work was to assess the quality of well water used as the main source of water by people living in AngondjeNtom area (Libreville suburb). In this regard, twelve wells were submitted from physicochemical and bacteriological analyses. The values obtained for each parameter were compared to the standard value set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and were found within the safe limits set by the WHO. In this regard this water does not present a particular danger for the populations drinking it. A bacteriological analysis has shown the presence of pathogenic germs exposing populations to diseases. This exposure is all the more worry because, in AngondjeNtom area, wells are very frequently located near showers and/or latrines and are often poorly maintained. In addition, the same physicochemical analyses carried out in rainy season reveal an increase in conductivity and turbidity values.
