Social media is an integral part of the communal fabric of todays world, from which health care is not excluded. Communication plays a vital role in breaking down barriers between the patient and dental health professional, and in strengthening the treatment alliance. It is increasingly becoming popular as a useful tool for health care providers to motivate and encourage patients of all ages groups and social backgrounds.
