Abstract

The awakeningperiodis a critical phase duringwhich a large proportion of anesthetic accidents can occur. Following a therapeutic or diagnostic procedureperformedundergeneral, locoregional or sedationanesthesia, the patient isexposed to risks of complications related to the residualeffects of the drugsadministered, the consequences of the procedureperformed, and patientscomorbidities.
