Identification of some Dicot Weeds at Seedling Stage

Comprehensive morphology of 15 common dicot weed seedlings have been recorded from winter season crop fields of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. The results showed that the germination is Horsfieldia type in Lathyrus aphaca and Macaranga type in the remaining weed seedlings. The relevant morphological attributes for distinction among reported weed seedling taxa are seedling type, collet, paracotyledons, epicotyl and first leaf.
