For the modeling of mechanically stabilized walls, it involves performing a two-dimensional analysis through numerical methods, given the complexity of variables for their evaluation. One methodology frequently used in the field of geotechnical engineering is that of limit equilibrium, describing in the article the Macstars computer code, this allows to introduce the geometry of the wall, the main reinforcements, the type of front facing, the geomechanical properties of the different soil layers that make up the area to be evaluated, the phreatic layer, the earthquake and the way in which the voussoirs are divided according to the geometry of the slope. It becomes a complementary computational tool, in the determination of stress-strain values, where the introduction of the collected data is focused on the sequence, selection and iteration, to obtain with it, the safety factor that satisfies the conditions for the evaluation of the critical failure surface.
