Abstract

This paper presents a synthesis of the findings from ten research papers that discuss ethical issues of artificial intelligence (AI). The analysis combines the main ideas, the main contrasts, and an overview of all the papers with the emphasis on the ethical opportunities, risks, and principles for AI. The papers reviewed are examined with regards to the definition of AI, ethical and human rights concerns about AI as well as the possible solutions suggested by these papers. Finally, the paper concludes with the call for a systemic approach to the issue of AI ethics and for the examination of AI within a sociotechnical framework.
