CLINICAL PROFILE OF UVEITIS IN A CASABLANCA TERTIARY CENTER: A RETROSPECTIVE SERIES OF 203 CASES

Abstract

Background: Uveitis is a potentially sight threatening intraocular inflammatory disorder whose clinical and etiological profiles vary according to geographic,infectious, autoimmune, and socioeconomic contexts. Recent large urban Moroccan series remain limited. Objective: To describe the demographic, clinical, anatomical, etiological, and visual characteristics of adult patients with uveitis managed at a tertiary university center in Casablanca. Methods: This retrospective descriptive study included 203 adults diagnosed with uveitis at the ophthalmology department of Ibn Rochd University Hospital between June 2023 and September 2024.Recorded variables included age, sex, laterality, anatomical classification, granulomatous features, synechiae, intraocular pressure, etiology, complications, visual acuity, and delay to specialist consultation.
