The major resolutions at the national and international levels to combat hunger are those related to large-scale agricultural production in order to address the current challenges of food security. This is why agricultural development policies are oriented towards the use of a variety of machinery and inputs regardless of the regions. However, it should be acknowledged that within the production chain in rural areas, there are still farmers who attempt to produce using traditional means. Among them are women. The objective of this research is to analyze the determinants of the improvement of living conditions for women vegetable growers in the municipality of Grand-Popo in Benin. Document research, observation, and interviews, with their respective tools including reading sheets, observation grids, interview guides, and questionnaires, are the survey instruments that allowed us to collect both qualitative and quantitative data from eighty two (82) target producers. A reasoned choice was adopted for sampling, and the analysis model used is functionalism. From the results obtained, it appears that the level of living resources for women vegetable growers determines the low yields, which consequently affects the pricing of the products by buyers. Similarly, the lack of funding explains the early sale of vegetable products for many of them. Finally, the unfair competition among producers can be explained by the fact that prices are not set in advance and that production conditions differ.
