CU-SIL DENTURES FOR PARTIAL EDENTULISM: PRESERVING FUNCTION AND TEETH - A CLINICAL REPORT SERIES
Abstract
Edentulism is a serious health issue that impairs daily activities, social interactions, and oral function in addition to degrading overall quality of life in an individual. As a result, every preventive precaution should be done to protect any teeth that may still be present, and efforts should be focused on getting a persons oral cavity back to its optimal condition. Preserving the remaining natural teeth is dentistrys top priority at the moment. A patients psychological well-being is enhanced and the integrity of the alveolar ridge is preserved when there are a few teeth in the oral cavity. Generally, Overdentures or transitional dentures or immediate dentures following complete extractions are the treatment for the remaining natural teeth for an individual. However, Cu-Sil dentures are the most straightforward partially edentulous treatment option accessible in the transitional phase for individuals who are afraid of full extractions.
