Abstract

The present study is a primary report, illustrating the presence of Bacillaceae bacterium spp. (KF777817) isolated, characterized and identified from the faeces of Pteropus giganteus from Udaipur, Rajasthan India. Its phylogenetic tree was derived and showed evolutionary relationship of eleven related taxa. This is a first report from Indian subcontinent correlating the role of this megachiropteran as a carrier of Bacillaceae bacterium spp. (KF777817).
