Abstract

The safety and toxicological profile of cosmetic products have gained significant global attention due to potential health risks arising from heavy metal contamination. This study provides a quantitative toxicological assessment of key heavy metals-Arsenic (As), Nickel (Ni), Cobalt (Co), and Copper (Cu)-in twelve popular shampoo brands (coded S1 to S12) marketed in Aden, Yemen. Methodology:- involved quantitative analysis using high-sensitivity Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) following standardized wet acid digestion, with rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) maintained using analytical reagent-grade chemicals and high-purity water (18.0 MQ.cm-1).
