ANALYSE DES PRATIQUES DE RESPONSABILITE SOCIALE DES ENTREPRISES DANS LES BANQUES AU MALI : CAS DE LA BANQUE NATIONALE DE DEVELOPPEMENT AGRICOLE (BNDA)

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a major issue for banking organizations because of their role in financing economic activities and their influence on stakeholders. This study analyzes CSR practices at the Banque Nationale de Développement Agricole (BNDA) in Mali. More specifically, it aims to identify the main characteristics of the bank's CSR policy and understand how these practices are operationalized. The study adopts a qualitative approach based on a case study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the CSR manager and Human Resources Department staff, supplemented by observation and documentary analysis. The findings show that BNDA has progressively institutionalized CSR through initiatives related to financial inclusion, responsible financing, agricultural development, women's entrepreneurship, support for vulnerable populations and environmental protection. However, the study also highlights shortcomings regarding employee awareness, internal communication, continuous training, social dialogue and the integration of CSR principles into customer relations. The study therefore recommends strengthening CSR governance, employee involvement, non-financial reporting and stakeholder dialogue.
