BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTRE SUPPORT, ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET, CREATIVITY, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SELF-EFFICACY AS PREDICTORS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION: A SOCIAL COGNITIVE CAREER THEORY PERSPECTIVE

Entrepreneurial behaviour of higher education students has attracted significant scholarly attention because of its role in promoting innovation, employment generation and economic development. Although many studies have already identified various determinants of entrepreneurial intention across different contextual settings, limited research has examined the combined influence of business incubation centre support, entrepreneurial mindset, creativity and entrepreneurial self efficacy on entrepreneurial intention. The present study tries to examine the combined effect of these factors on the entrepreneurial intention of higher education students. The study employs an integrated structural model based on Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT). A quantitative research design was adopted. The primary data were collected from students of selected higher educational institutions using a structured questionnaire. After data screening 246 valid responses were considered for the analysis.The data were analysed using SPSS Statistics and Structural Equation Modelling was performed using AMOS to assess the measurement and structural models and test the hypothesised relationships among the constructs. The results revealed that business incubation centre support has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial self efficacy.
